Nascar Thursday

My work was gracious enough to give me tickets to go to Nascar on Thursday.. probably the worst day to go as far as racing though, but it was perfect for Devon to experience his first vroom vroom! The Midget cars were doing the time trials, so it was one car at a time going around the track. Damon was holding him as we watched the car comming down the track. "VROOOOOM" the car shot by. Devon watched wide-eyed while it shot past, then his amazed face turned to horror and he started bawling. It was so funny! So we figured the cars were too loud and went down to the gift shop and bought a set of headphones. As we were walking back up to the stands, we had people stopping us to take pictures of him grinning with the huge oversized head phones.

Here is Devon all tuckered out after a day at the track! Shortly after this we went home and he ended up being miserable for the entire night. We had just taken him to the docter earlier in the day because he had a cold that seemed to be getting worse. I had to take him back to the docter the next day and he ended up having Croup and an Ear Infection. Poor little buddy!
